Creative solutions for idle days

Just when I need to be studying for exams, I discover more content that makes me wish I was creating and not re-learning.

1. The Loop – ‘Facebook is for your personal life & The Loop is for your creative professional life – never the two shall meet!’

It’s just in Beta but it still has a wealth of content. The Loop is to the creative industry what Brazen Careerist is to Gen Ys or what Not Just A Label is to fashion.

Basically, what that means is it’s a space for Aussie creatives to connect, show off their work and meet employers. But even if you’re an outsider to all of those, it’s still a cool source of inspiration.

2. The Internetwork

In the spirit of sharing is caring, a project related to the Thousands websites (you know, those guides of everything you can do in each of Australia’s capital cities).

Selected contributors have built a showcase of what’s inspiring them in all things arts – music, video, sculpture, fashion, you name it.

3. The Tomorrow Awards

Judging is now open – and when anyone can register and be promoted as a judge, why not?

The competition aims to select the best of emerging creatives in the ad industry, with a round judged by the public and one judged by the ‘Monster Judges’. If that’s not impressive enough for you, check out the work…
