Kudos to a Danish firm which is thinking outside the square and past societal prejudice…

Specialisterne, an IT consultancy, makes the effort to specifically hire employees with autism.

In many industries, people with autism find it difficult to gain employment as they can have issues with stress and need to work in a specific structure.

However, their ability to concentrate for long periods of time and pay attention to detail can make them just as good, if not better, at activities like programming.

I really hope they do well – they seem to be getting some big-name clients and profiles (like this one from Social Firms).

They’re also a reminder that what is usually perceived to be a disadvantage can be turned into an advantage…
